The Chargers uniform has under gone many slight variations through the years. Below is a brief history sighting the most notable points in the evolution of the Chargers uniform.
1960
 The helmet was white with a gold bolt outlined in black. The player number was listed in black on each side of the helmet. The face mask was gray.The home jersey was Collegiate blue with white numbers outlined in gold. The jersey had numbers on the sleeves with the same color scheme. There was a white strip on each shoulder encasing a gold bolt outlined in Collegiate blue. The away jersey was white with Collegiate blue numbers outlined in gold and had numbers on the sleeves with the same color scheme. The shoulder cuffs had a Collegiate blue strip encasing a gold bolt outlined in white. The pants were white with a gold lightning bolt outlined in blue running down each leg. |
