The Bolts added experience and versatility to the secondary as they've agreed to terms on a three-year contract with former Indianapolis Colts safety Dwight Lowery.
The 5-11, 212-pound free safety has appeared in 106 games and 73 starts over eight years. Lowery was drafted by the Jets in the fourth round in 2008 and spent three years in New York (2008-10) before spending three with Jacksonville (2011-13), one with Atlanta (2014) and one in Indianapolis (2015).
Lowery ranked third on the Colts last season with 83 tackles and secured a career-high four interceptions, highlighted by a 69-yard pick six. Including the postseason, he's recorded 399 tackles, 60 passes defensed, 16 interceptions, eight forced fumbles, and 5.0 sacks over his career.
