This was tough. I felt numb inside when it happened. Right now I'm not feeling as bad, but this is obviously tough. I'm just waiting on surgery, which I'll have next week.
More than anything, I want to say thank you. Thank you for your prayers and everything you've said. It's beyond words. Having you behind me is what has helped keep my spirits up.
Now it's time for all of us to get behind our boys.
I'll be just like you, watching them make a run for it. Whenever they need advice, I'm going to be there for them. For now, I'm telling them to focus on what they can control. There is nothing we can do about me going down, so they have to move on. That's what I told Phil yesterday. You can't do anything to fix what happened, so go out there now and make some noise.
It's going to be tough to not play for a whole season, but it is going to make me tougher mentally.
I'm going to come back stronger than ever.
I'm more motivated than ever.
I can't wait.
I'm going to be back, so don't you worry about me.
