Career Highlights
After retiring a two-time Super Bowl Champion running back with the Denver Broncos, Lynn has brought a prolific rushing attack with him to each team he's coached.
Most recently, from 2009-16 with the Jets and Bills, his teams have the most combined rushing yards over the seven-year span (18,218). This season, after rising from running backs coach to offensive coordinator and then interim head coach, Buffalo again led the NFL in rushing yards (2,630), yards per game (164.4) and yards per carry (5.3).
The Bills also led the league in rushing last season with 2,432 yards and 4.8 yards per carry. Remarkably, three Buffalo rushers surpassed the 500-yard mark (LeSean McCoy-895, Tyrod Taylor-568, Karlos Williams-517) for the first time since 1962. The team also had 70 rushes of at least 10 yards, which were most in the NFL.
Prior to joining the Bills, Lynn proved instrumental in the success of Chris Ivory, Chris Johnson, Bilal Powell, Shonn Greene, Marion Barber and Jamal Lewis. He guided Lewis to back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons from 2007-08, including 1,304 yards while playing in only 14 games. Lynn also coached LaDainian Tomlinson with the Jets during LT's last two seasons in the league from 2010-11.
