Keenan Allen Debuts on NFL Top 100 List

The NFL's reigning Comeback Player of the Year continues to earn recognition.

Following a monster bounce-back year in which he authored the single greatest season for a wide receiver in franchise history, Keenan Allen came in at number 41 on the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2018 list.

This marks the first time KA13 has cracked the list, but it shouldn't come as a surprise.

Appearing in all 16 games for the first time in his five-year career, Allen broke LaDainian Tomlinson's single-season record for receptions in a season with 102.  Meanwhile, his 1,393 receiving yards were the second-most in a season in team history.

If that wasn't enough, KA13 finished 2017 among the league leaders in a significant number of categories.  He ranked first in total first downs (74) and third down receptions (36), first in third down receiving yards (552), third in receiving yards (1,393) and fourth in receptions (102). Allen also had seven 100-yard receiving games, including four straight at one point, and finished the year with six touchdowns.

Along the way, the 25-year old also became the first player in NFL history to post three consecutive games with 10-plus receptions, 100-plus receiving yards and a touchdown catch when he accomplished the feat in Weeks 11-13.  He culminated the season with his first Pro Bowl selection.

Allen is the fourth Charger to make the list this season, joining Philip Rivers (56), Casey Hayward (59) and Melvin Ingram (76).
