Ryon Bingham had a breakout year in 2007, proving how well he could play when his number was called. Bingham racked up a career-high 58 tackles, played in every game and even made his first two starts. The team rewarded him for his play last December with a three-year contract extension that will keep him a Charger through the 2010 season.

The
Sandy, Utah native should continue to see his game ascend into 2008 as he’s now been a regular in the defensive line rotation for the last two seasons.

Bingham is a true outdoorsman. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and backpacking. It’s not uncommon for him and a few friends to take a 2-3 day backpacking trip into
Utah’s Uinta Mountains to camp and fish in the range’s many lakes and streams.

Bingham lives in San Diego with his wife, Danielle, and the couple’s young daughter, Kayla. One of the family’s favorite places to visit is the beaches of
Del Mar and SolanaBeach.

Ryon’s dad and older brother are both former football players. His dad, Jeff, was a defensive end at
WeberState and his older brother, Josh, played defensive end at Southern Utah State.
