LaDainian Tomlinson Player of the Year Award

The LaDainian Tomlinson High School Player of the Year Award honors one male and one female high school senior football student-athlete in the Los Angeles community. Honoring high school senior student-athletes who not only showcase excellence on the football field but demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities through leadership, service, and dedication, the prestigious award – in addition to recognition – also comes with a $2,500 scholarship for each student-athlete.

Nike 11ON

The Chargers, in partnership with Nike, have hosted four years of their 11ON event for 30 of the top high school girls' flag and tackle football programs from across Southern California. During this two-day event, over 750 athletes, their coaches, and families attend, where the teams compete in individual and team competitions to crown a champion for each day.

Alex Spanos All Star Classic

For 33 years, the Annual Alex Spanos All-Star Game has been held in San Diego and showcases over 90 of the best football talents in the county. Featuring the best graduating seniors in San Diego, the Spanos Classic provides players and their families with lasting memories and one final opportunity to demonstrate their skills before continuing their football careers on the collegiate level.

Orange County North-South All Star Game

The Orange County North vs. South All-Star Classic, formally known as the Brea Lions Club North vs. South All-Star Game, is a long-standing tradition dating back to 1959 that pits players from North County against players from South County. The players and coaches are selected by the Orange County Sportswriters Association, while the game itself is planned and run by Costa Mesa United with support from the Los Angeles Chargers.

LA City Gridiron Classic

The Chargers helped launch the inaugural LA City Gridiron Classic All-Star Game this year, which is a game for the LA City Section. Every school in the city that plays football is represented by at least one graduating senior and the game is coached by two LA City Section staffs. The game has players nominated by their coaches, and a scholarship is awarded at the conclusion of the game.
