The Chargers are now projected to have around $66 million in cap space after the NFL set the 2025 salary cap Thursday.
The 2025 figure has been set at $279.2 million, a higher number than the projected total of $272.5 million. The 2024 salary cap was $255.4 million, meaning the cap rose by nearly $24 million in the past year.
The Bolts now have ample money to spend, according to Over the Cap, a site that tracks each team's approximate cap space.
The 2025 NFL New League Year begins at 1 p.m. (PT) on March 12, which also marks the start of free agency. The Chargers have 30 players slated to be free agents this offseason.
