San Diego County schools have until April 22 to apply for physical education and nutrition grants through the Chargers Champions School Grant Program.
Applications can be accessed here and must be postmarked by Friday, April 22, 2016.
Chargers Champions is an initiative of the Chargers Community Foundation which annually provides more support for San Diego-area schools than any other corporate donor in the County. Since the program's inception in 2000, the Spanos family has donated more than $5 million to San Diego's schools and students through the program.
Each year Chargers Champions allows public and private schools within San Diego County to apply for badly-needed funding for physical fitness, nutrition or athletic programs on their campuses. The program annually provides selected schools with grants of up to $75,000 for high schools; up to $40,000 for middle schools and up to $30,000 for elementary schools.
