Who has been the top cornerback in the league when targeted?
According to Pro Football Focus, the answer is the Chargers' Casey Hayward.
The cornerback is allowing the lowest QB rating in the NFL when passes are thrown in his direction, holding Alex Smith, Blake Bortles and Andrew Luck to a combined 29.5 passer rating. His three interceptions rank second in the NFL while his five total passes defensed lead the Chargers.
With three picks on the year, Hayward has already tied for the most interceptions by a Charger in a single season since 2011.
