How has your heritage shaped the person you are today?
My heritage has instilled in me a deep respect for family values and a sense of responsibility towards family, emphasizing collective well-being. Growing up with a mix of Eastern and Western influences has aided me in finding balance and has enhanced my ability to navigate cultural conflicts and make decisions that consider multiple perspectives.
As we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, what are some aspects of your culture that you enjoy sharing with others?
The nuances in the way we approach life and the unique flavors of our diverse dishes. Do yourself a favor and visit a restaurant that traditionally serves Dim Sum. It's an experience.
What is the most rewarding part of your job and why?
Problem-solving and the variety of work. I enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems, as it can be immensely rewarding. Being able to work with various technologies keeps the job interesting and engaging.
What advice do you have for those trying to get into sports/starting their career in the sports industry?
