The San Diego Chargers added a new quarterback into the fold with the signing of Bryn Renner.
A 6-3, 225-pound product out of North Carolina, he initially signed as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos in 2014. After being waived at the end of training camp, Renner joined the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League and then signed with the Baltimore Ravens in January. The QB began the 2015 campaign on Baltimore's practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in December. He was later released and ended the season on the Tennessee Titans practice squad.
Renner was a three-year starter for the Tar Heels, setting numerous records along the way. He left as the school's third leading passer in yards (8,221), completions (668) and attempts (1,005). Renner also set UNC's all-time single season touchdown record and threw for more 300 yard games than anyone else in school history.
