Presenting your 2017 Los Angeles Chargers.
After trading wide receiver Dontrelle Inman to the Chicago Bears on Wednesday for a conditional draft pick, the Los Angeles Chargers signed WR Geremy Davis to the active roster. This marks the second time Davis has been promoted to the 53-man roster off the practice squad this season.
The 6-3, 217-pound wideout initially entered the NFL as a sixth-round draft pick of the New York Giants. The Bolts claimed him off waivers midway through the 2016 campaign. Davis has appeared in 13 games between the two teams, catching two passes for 21 yards. Davis tied for second on the Chargers this preseason with nine catches for 68 yards. He appeared in the team's season opener this year against the Denver Broncos, playing six snaps on offense and seven on special teams.
Meanwhile, former third-round pick Max Tuerk was signed to take Davis' place on the practice squad. The guard-center was selected by the Chargers with the 66th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
