The Los Angeles Chargers will host the Cincinnati Bengals at ROKiT Field at StubHub Center on Sunday, Dec. 9. Kickoff is set for 1:05p.m. PST. As part of the NFL's My Cause, My Cleats campaign, select players will wear customized cleats reflecting their commitment to charitable causes during the game.

More than 30 players will showcase their causes on-field during the game. The causes selected represent dozens of different charitable organizations, from ones that focus on breast cancer to those that work with veterans to those that support families impacted by mental illness. Players will share images of their cleats and the stories behind them on social media, using the hashtag #mycausemycleats. Players will also have the opportunity to raise funds for the causes of their choosing by auctioning their cleats at NFL Auction; 100% of funds raised will be donated to charities selected by players. Fans may bid on game-issued player cleats at NFL.com/Auction and help players raise funds for their chosen causes. Below is the list of participating players:

FAN APPRECIATION DAY

The Chargers will giveaway more than 150 prizes to fans as part of Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday. Prizes include two sets of tickets to the Super Bowl, a trip to the 2018 Pro Bowl, Nike gift cards, Vons groceries and much more.

Additionally, as part of Fan Appreciation Day, fans will receive a 20% discount on all merchandise at the Chargers Team Store and season ticket members will receive a 30% discount with their member benefits card.

PREGAME AND HALFTIME FESTIVITIES

To start the pregame festivities, the Chargers will hold an enlistment ceremony for future U.S. Marines from the Los Angeles Area.

Following the enlistment ceremony, the team will recognize select high school football coaches from throughout Southern California who have made a difference in the lives of their players through leadership, hard work and a special dedication to their young scholar athletes. The recognition is part of a nearly two decade-long High School Coach of the Week program that the Chargers have hosted in partnership with the NFL. On Sunday, the team will announce its Coach of the Year for San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles Counties. Each Coach will receive a $2,000 donation to their school's athletic department to further support their outstanding football programs.

The National Anthem will be performed by stage and screen actress, singer, dancer and producer Courtney Lopez while the recently enlisted soldiers hold individual flags. Lopez is best known for acting in the indie comedy film 'Pittsburgh' (2006), the video short 'Earano' (2007) and the TV series 'Love & Salsa' (2014). She has performed in several Broadway shows like 'A Chorus Line', 'Cry Baby' and 'The Little Mermaid'. For the anthem finale, a KC-135 from March Air Force Base will conduct a military flyover traveling South to North above StubHub Center. 

Just prior to kickoff, television host and actor Mario Lopez will handle the ceremonial firing of the cannon. Lopez has appeared on several television series, in films, and on Broadway. He is known for his portrayal of A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell, whom he also portrayed as a regular on Saved by the Bell: The College Years. He has appeared in numerous projects since, including the third season of Dancing with the Stars and as host for the syndicated entertainment news magazine show Extra. He has also hosted America's Best Dance Crew for MTV.

At halftime, the Chargers will present a $25,000 check to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The funds were raised from the team's 50/50 raffle at the Nov. 18 and Nov. 25 games. LA City Fire will send a portion of the funds raised to the Ventura County Fire Department Widow, Orphans and Assistance Fund.

Additionally, more than 100 girls age 7-to-15 will get an experience of a lifetime when they dance alongside Chargers Girls and Crenshaw High School Marching Band on the field at halftime as part of the Junior Charger Girls program.

CHARGERS MILITARY HEROES OF THE WEEK

During the first quarter, the Chargers will honor two service members as the Chargers Military Heroes of the Week: 

Sergeant First Class Nicholas Moore proudly served in the United States Army for 14 years. Moore enlisted in the Army in 1999 and attended Basic Training, Airborne School, and the Ranger Indoctrination program. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in December of 1999. He deployed 13 times, including seven deployments to Afghanistan and six to Iraq. He participated in some very notable missions including the rescue of PFC Jessica Lynch in 2003 and the rescue of Marcus Luttrell in 2005. In 2011, while leading a raid in Logar Province, Moore was shot in the right leg, right arm and helmet. He medically retired from the Army in November 2013. His military awards include the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars, and the Army Commendation Medal with "V".

Staff Sergeant Essence Zanders, a Los Angeles native, joined the Army in 2008 as a Human Resource Specialist. She was the third of her siblings to join the military. In 2010, she was selected to join a small deployment team to Bagdad, Iraq, where she provided support for the 82nd Airborne Division. In 2015, she was selected by the Department of Defense to become a detailed recruiter. In 2016, she was selected by Commanding General Martin to be part of the USAREC Female Engagement Team. She was selected as the top Non-Commission Officer of her Battalion for 3rd Quarter; demonstrating knowledge, leadership and fitness. Most recently she was rewarded a coin from the Secretary of the Army, Mark Esper, for going above and beyond her duty and being a positive role model in the community.

GAMEDAY REMINDERS

• Fans attending Sunday's game are reminded that only the following may be carried into NFL stadiums:
• Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12." (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags are available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com).
• One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
• Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (no larger than 4.5"x 6.5"), with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bag options.
• An exception will be made for medically needed items after proper inspection at gate entrances.
• Prohibited items include but are not limited to: Purses larger than a clutch bag, strollers, sports balls, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size. StubHub Center prohibits the wearing of masks or costumes covering the face while passing through stadium security upon entry, on the concourse and at all concession/merchandise locations. Masks or costumes covering the face may be worn, however, within the stadium bowl in the ticketed seating area. Additionally, costume pieces (e.g., shoulder pads or props) that do not conceal identity may be worn but must pass through stadium metal detectors and are subject to further security screening.
• Smoking is prohibited at StubHub Center. Refrain from smoking inside or near the stadium.

CHARGERS WARN FANS TO BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT TICKETS

The Chargers and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are warning fans to be mindful of the existence of an increased dispersal of fraudulent tickets. The Chargers stress that the only way to assure ticket authenticity is to purchase tickets directly through the team, Chargers.com, Ticketmaster or the NFL's official resale provider – NFL.com/TicketExchange. Tickets obtained from other sources run the risk of being counterfeit.
