While the San Diego Chargers are heading into their final break of the offseason, this weekend, future faces of football will have the chance to take to the same field as their favorite players.
The San Diego Chargers are teaming up with USA Football for the second year in a row to host USA Football's Annual Protection Tour, which kicks off in America's Finest City on Saturday, June 18.
Players ages 7-14 can participate in a morning session that runs from 9:00am-12:00pm and will feature wide receiver Stevie Johnson and an afternoon session from 1:00pm-4:00pm featuring rookie linebacker Joshua Perry. Both sessions are free and both players will participate in Q&A and autograph sessions with the campers.
In conjunction with Riddell and AIG, the USA Football Protection Tour focuses on the importance of creating a better and safer game for youth football teams through education. Players will be able to learn tackling fundamentals, get properly fitted for equipment and gather more information on safety within the game of football.
