Going into Week 15 of the regular season (and the semi-finals of playoffs for many fantasy football leagues), the Chargers are ranked fourth in the NFL in total points, averaging just under 27 per game. Here is what notable fantasy experts are saying as the Bolts get ready to host the Raiders on Sunday:
Philip Rivers:Having tossed multiple touchdowns in each of the last six games, this week Rivers is facing a Raiders defense that he torched for over 350 yards and four TDs in Week 5. He is listed as a "starter/love" on ESPN.com, CBS.com and Yahoo.com. CBS.com's Jaimey Eisenberg said of Rivers, "He should be throwing a lot with Melvin Gordon (hip) out, and he has scored at least 22 Fantasy points against Oakland in four of his past six starts." Rivers is on average going for $7,000 in daily fantasy leagues.
Kenneth Farrow:After backing up Melvin Gordon for the entire year, Farrow is likely going to get the starting nod on Sunday with Gordon out. Farrow stepped up admirably last Sunday when he was thrust into a more prominent role, gaining over 70 yards on 22 touches. He is listed in just about every fantasy expert's "sleeper/key waiver addition" article. Jim McCormick of ESPN.com had this to say about Farrow's matchup this weekend, *"Oakland has surrendered 107.5 rushing yards per game to tailbacks this season, third most in the NFL, in addition to the second-most yards per carry to tailbacks (4.68). Getting additional shares of this divisional matchup could prove rewarding." *Farrow is on average going for $5,200 in daily fantasy leagues.
Dontrelle Inman:Having found the end zone in each of the last three games, Inman is on the "starter/love" lists of most fantasy football pundits this week. The most ringing endorsement came from SI.com's Michael Beller saying, *"Inman has been among the receiver leaders in snap count all season, essentially taking over as the de facto No. 1 receiver in San Diego after Keenan Allen tore his ACL. Inman's 18.3% target rate the last three weeks is on par with the season-long totals for Davante Adams and Jamison Crowder. The Chargers play the Raiders and Browns the next two weeks. Inman should be thought of as a WR2 the rest of the fantasy season." *Inman is on average going for $5,300 in daily fantasy leagues.
Tyrell Williams: 95 yards away from 1,000 on the season, Williams has been the Bolts most consistent receiver this year, as well as becoming their number one big-play threat. He is ranked by ESPN.com's experts as the number ten wide receiver this week and when you check his page on FantasyPros.com you are greeted with this note from their staff, "It is to the point where Williams needs to be started each and every week, especially in a matchup like this. Do yourself a favor and don't overthink this one." Williams is on average going for $6,150 in daily fantasy leagues.
Antonio Gates: Ranked as the number six tight end this week by ESPN.com, Gates is facing a Raiders defense that has allowed over 60 yards per game to tight ends this season. Like Williams, when you visit his page on FantasyPros.com there is a message from their staff, *"Antonio Gates is just three touchdowns away from breaking the record (for most career touchdowns for a tight end) so look for him to have a big Week 15 performance." *Gates is on average going for $4,700 in daily fantasy leagues.
