The Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs open the 2025 regular season in São Paulo, Brazil in Week 1 at Arena Corinthians.
MATCHUP HISTORY
This Week 1 matchup will mark the 130th regular-season matchup between the two teams. The Chiefs hold an 71-57-1 all-time regular season record against the Bolts. The two teams have played in an International game before as they met in Mexico City during the 2019 season.
The last meeting between these two teams came in Week 14 of the 2024 season at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday Night Football.
The primetime battle was similar to what we've become accustomed to between these two teams, as it was decided by a field goal as time expired. The Chargers stormed back in the second half rattling off 14 straight points to open the third quarter led by quarterback Justin Herbert. It was a defensive slugfest, as neither team crossed 300 yards of total offense.
