Get ready to see some powder blue in the playoffs.
The Chargers clinched a postseason berth in Year 1 under Jim Harbaugh on Saturday with a convincing 40-7 road win over the Patriots. The Bolts moved to 10-6 on the season with the Week 17 win.
The Bolts are currently the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoff picture. If that holds, the Chargers would play the No. 3 seed, which is currently the Ravens.
However, the Chargers can also claim the No. 5 seed if they win in Week 18 and the Steelers lose to the Bengals.
The Bolts playoff spot is a stamp on a remarkable turnaround engineered by Harbaugh, who instilled a culture and a belief in Year 1 of his tenure.
"Our mindset has been so solid with the way we approach every day," Rashawn Slater told Chargers.com earlier this season. "It's like a growth mindset and we're very focused on who we want to be and what we want to become. It's dead focused on getting better every week.
"Coach Harbaugh is an outstanding culture builder and he's really brought that here," Slater added. "There's really just been no distractions. We're really just about ball. It's pretty special."
The Bolts last made the playoffs during the 2022 season.
