Due to his performance in the 25-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks, Desmond King earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. It's the first honor of the second-year cornerback's career.
King had a critical 42-yard pick-six in the fourth quarter to give the Chargers a 25-10 lead, making it a two-score game at that point. It proved pivotal, as Seattle later attempted a comeback to tie, but fell short.
The pick-six was the second of his career and made King just the sixth player in NFL history and second defensive back ever to post multiple pick-sixes and at least four sacks over the first two seasons of his career.
Additionally, King finished the game with three total tackles and one pass defensed.
