With the first preseason game kicking off on Saturday, the San Diego Chargers released their first official depth chart of 2016.
As always, Head Coach Mike McCoy cautioned not to read too much into the depth chart heading into the first preseason game.
"This is a starting point," he said. "We have four preseason games and practices to evaluate before we get to the final 53."
So what stands out about the Bolts?
Perhaps most interesting is that six newcomers are listed on the first team. They include four veterans in WR Travis Benjamin, C Matt Slauson, NT Brandon Mebane and FS Dwight Lowery as well as two rookies in FB Derek Watt and P Drew Kaser.
