The Los Angeles Chargers enter the fourth quarter of their season with their eyes on a playoff berth.
They've fought and clawed their way to a 9-3 record, putting themselves in position to make the postseason for the first time since 2013.
The Bolts control their own destiny as they trail the Kansas City Chiefs (10-3) by one game in the race for the AFC West crown. They also hold a two-game advantage over the Baltimore Ravens for the first of two Wild Card spots, and a three-game advantage over the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans for the sixth seed.
Now, while they've set themselves up in a good spot, the Chargers know nothing is certain. All they want to do is go out and control what they can control.
That being said, there are two scenarios in which the Bolts can clinch a playoff berth this week, and they are as follows:
Scenario 1
Chargers win vs. the Bengals
Titans loss or tie vs. the Jaguars
Dolphins loss or tie vs. the Patriots
Broncos loss or tie vs. the 49ers
Colts loss or tie vs. the Texans
Scenario 2
Chargers tie vs. the Bengals
Dolphins loss vs. the Patriots
Broncos loss vs. the 49ers
Titans loss or tie vs. the Jaguars
Colts loss or tie vs. the Texans
