The Chargers returned to El Segundo from their cross-country trip to Foxborough late at night — and they had quite the reception waiting for them at The Bolt after clinching a playoff spot.

Fans gathered at the Bolts facility late this past Saturday night to cheer on the team upon arrival.

The crowd welcomed back the team buses that arrived at almost 11:00 p.m. with signs, flags and a lot of cheering as the Chargers had just punched their ticket to the postseason.

And they also cheered on the players as they left the lot in their parking lot, with many like Derwin James, Jr., Khalil Mack, Rashawn Slater and many more acknowledging the excited crowd.

Even Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh waved to the crowd as he drove by, adding his appreciation on Monday for the Bolt Fam.

"That's great," Harbaugh said. "It's one of the great things about playing football. Just the appreciation, everybody likes to be appreciated. That's how it felt.

"Football, especially at the NFL level, big crowds, everything happening in real time, you hear the crowd," Harbaugh continued. "That's where the magic happens.

Harbaugh added: "For that to mean as much for the, somewhere in the 100s [people], there were many people that greeted us when the buses came in, that they would take the time at 10:30 at night to come out on a Saturday night, it was just awesome. Love it."

Others, like General Manager Joe Hortiz, assistant offensive line coach Nick Hardwick and outside linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu, also walked by to greet the crowd on Saturday night, much to their delight.

The Bolt Fam is buzzing with excitement as they gear up for the playoffs, and it's something Harbaugh said is noticeable when he goes around the city.

"Been hearing so much of it in town, 'Bolt Up.' And the different players' jerseys that my kids wear, other kids wear," Harbaugh said. "It's awesome, it's neat. Love it."

He later joked: "I don't know if they recognize me, or it's the Bolt, but I get a lot of 'Bolt Ups'… It's cool, it fires you up."
