Jim Harbaugh knows a thing or two about playoff football.
After all, it was a year ago Wednesday that Harbaugh led Michigan to a national championship.
Harbaugh, of course, is now the Chargers Head Coach and is focused on the postseason once again as the Bolts get ready for Saturday’s Wild Card matchup in Houston.
And you can bet he's chomping at the bit to experience the NFL playoffs again.
"We're here. Football-wise, we're alive," Harbaugh said. "And we want to stay alive. Keep at it."
But Harbaugh also hasn't been in the NFL postseason in over a decade. In fact, his most recent NFL playoff game was all the way back on January 19, 2014, when his 49ers fell in the NFC title game.
Overall, Harbaugh has a 7-6 record as both a player and coach in the postseason.
He went 2-3 as a starting quarterback in the 1990s and then compiled a 5-3 mark as the 49ers Head Coach in the early 2010s.
As the No. 5 seed, the Bolts will start on the road, a place Harbaugh has had notable playoff success.
Harbaugh is 5-3 in his career on the road as both a player and coach in the NFL.
As he gets ready for another playoff journey, the 61-year-old Harbaugh is hungry to taste more postseason success.
