Joey Bosa has arrived at Chargers Park.
After a much publicized contract dispute caused the first round pick to miss training camp, the San Diego Chargers announced Monday that they signed the defensive end to a four-year contract.
"We look forward to having Joey join us and getting him prepared as quickly as possible for the 2016 season," said General Manager Tom Telesco.
The Bolts selected Bosa with the third overall pick in this year's draft. A 6-5, 280-pound product out of Ohio State, the 21-year old spent three seasons with the Buckeyes totaling 150 tackles, 50.5 tackles for loss, 26 sacks, 24 quarterback hurries and five forced fumbles in 41 games.
Stout against the run with the ability to wreak havoc on the quarterback, he was a two-time Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year and two-time first-team All-America selection over his college career.
Bosa's sophomore campaign proved to be his best as he led the Buckeyes to a 14-1 record on the way to capturing the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship in 2014. He earned unanimous first-team All-America honors that year, recording 55 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and led the Big Ten with 13.5 sacks.
