Here are five things to know about the Auburn wide receiver:

1. Big year at Auburn

Lambert-Smith went out with a bang in his final collegiate season.

The wide receiver's lone year at Auburn saw him lead the team in receptions and receiving yards, catching 50 balls for 981 yards to go along with eight touchdowns in 12 games.

He ranked second in the SEC in receiving yards per game (81.8), as his yardage total was good for fourth-most in the conference. He also ranked fifth in the conference with an 80.4 Pro Football Focus receiving grade.

It led him to earn Second-Team All-SEC honors.

2. Explosive play receiver

The receiver's speed makes him a big play waiting to happen.

Lambert-Smith ranked in the top 10 nationally, and third among SEC receivers, in yards per catch (19.6). He also had a longest catch of at least 67 yards each of the last four seasons.

And it's easy to see why, as he ran a 4.37 second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

3. Time at Penn State

Prior to his time with the Tigers, Lambert-Smith spent four years with the Nittany Lions.

He totaled 1,598 receiving yards on 116 career catches over his time at Penn State and displayed that big play ability with 20 catches over 20 yards.

Lambert-Smith also etched his name in the history books, becoming the only player in Penn State history with multiple 80-yard receptions over a career.

4. Top Virginia prospect

A Norfolk, Virginia native, Lambert-Smith attended Maury High School and worked his way to becoming one of the top prospects in the state.

He earned all-state honors each of his final three years at the school and helped lead the school to an undefeated 16-0 record and the state championship in his senior year, the school's first title in 80 years.

After 58 total touchdowns in his last two seasons, Lambert-Smith finished his prep career as the No. 5 prospect in the state of Virginia.

5. Family in NFL

The receiver has some NFL family as well.

Lambert-Smith's uncle is former Seahawks Pro Bowl safety Kam Chancellor, who was also a fifth-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Chancellor, a Virginia Tech product, played with Seattle for eight years and won a Super Bowl.
