We all have our favorite plays that we've seen over the years, but what about the guys who made those memories? We've talked to several vets to find out what their favorite plays over their career as a Charger are. Here's what wide receiver Keenan Allen had to say about his favorites, all of which came in his rookie year.
1. December 12, 2013 vs. Denver Broncos
During Allen's first Thursday Night Football game, he scored two touchdowns in the second quarter, one of which has become his all-time favorite. The wide receiver leapt over defenders to score a 19-yard TD, a great play for the highlight reel.
"That's probably my favorite touchdown of all time."
2. October 14, 2013 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Fighting through double coverage, Allen hauled in a 22-yard pass from Philip Rivers to get the Chargers on the board during his first-ever Monday night game. He had a game-high 107 receiving yards on nine catches, and was the only player to score a TD on the day.
"It was significant. My first year. It was my second touchdown. It was dope, that whole day was dope … my first Monday night game. Just being in the huddle with Gates and Philip and those guys was special."
3. December 8, 2013 vs. New York Giants
In the first multi-TD game of his career, Allen opened scoring with this 43-yard catch. It was also one of three receptions in the game that brought his season total receptions to 61, passing LaDanian Tomlinson for the most by a rookie in Chargers history.
4. November 3, 2013 vs. Washington Redskins
This 16-yard touchdown pass was part of a game when KA13 posted a season-high 128 yards on eight catches, but that wasn't what made it so special. Allen faced a familiar face when scoring on his fourth favorite play.
"In Washington my rookie year, I scored on a guy that I played with in high school. It was a great game."
