Melvin Ingram's on-field performance in 2017 brought a few firsts for number 54:

SupaMel made his debut on the list voted on by his peers, clocking in at number 76. This makes him the first Charger named to this year's Top 100.
2017 proved to be a dominating year for Ingram. He signed a four-year contract extension in June and transitioned from outside linebacker to defensive end which ultimately, paid dividends.
He finished the 2017 season totaling 56 tackles and 17 tackles for loss which ranked third in the NFL. Additionally, he tied his career-high with 10.5 sacks which were the sixth-most in the AFC.
