Command Master Chief Nicole Rios is a native of Springfield, Massachusetts, and enlisted in the Navy in February 1996. Upon completing basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL she attended Storekeeper "A" school in Meridian, Mississippi.
Her early shore tours include Naval Reserve Readiness Command Region Thirteen Great Lakes, IL; Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center Providence, RI; Naval Air Station Atlanta, GA; Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL and Commander Navy Reserve Forces Command Norfolk, VA.
Sea duty assignments include Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Six Two, Brunswick, Maine and Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Twelve, Williamsburg, Virginia where she completed deployments to U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibilities.
In August 2016, she transferred to the Navy Operational Support Center Ventura County, CA where she currently serves as the Command Master Chief.
She is a graduate of the Naval Leadership and Ethics Center CMC/COB Course (Class 160) and Senior Enlisted Academy (BC53). She is designated Aviation Warfare, Expeditionary Warfare, and Master Training Specialist qualified.
Command Master Chief Rios has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medals, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and various unit and campaign awards.
