In order to serve all Chargers fans, Chargers.com has compiled a list of who some top draft pundits are projecting the Bolts will select with the third pick in the draft.
Just hours before they are officially on the clock, here is one final look at who many notable pundits project the Bolts to select.
ESPN's Mel Kiper: OT Laremy Tunsil – Ole Miss
What he says: "There is a lot of talk about whether this is the tackle San Diego prefers, and also whether they could go defense here. This is also a possible trade-up spot for a team that wants either the top running back or top offensive tackle. Prepare to be surprised."
ESPN's Todd McShay: OT Ronnie Stanley – Notre Dame
What he says: "This is a good time to remind everyone: I'm projecting what will happen, not what I would do if I ran each team. I'm hearing the Chargers have Stanley higher on their board than Ole Miss' Laremy Tunsil, so the Notre Dame product is the pick. Regardless of whom they take, the Chargers need to find a way to keep QB Philip Rivers upright."
MMQB's Peter King: CB/S Jalen Ramsey – Florida State
What he says: "Chargers are men of mystery. They'll get the number one player on GM Tom Telesco's board, but who is it? Telesco learned well from his mentor, Bill Polian, to keep the circle of trust with his board very small. There are two excellent tackles atop this draft, and Telesco could go that way to buttress a big need area. But there's one premier corner, and the Chargers have to be tempted to help a defense that surrendered 44 touchdowns last year. Could also see them trade down for the Notre Dame tackle, Ronnie Stanley."
FOX Sports' Pete Schrager: OT Laremy Tunsil – Ole Miss
What he says: "I've heard the Chargers have looked long and hard at Ronnie Stanley here, too. Jalen Ramsey and Joey Bosa could be immediate impact guys, but Tunsil's the pick. The Chargers won't overthink this. Protect the money, Philip Rivers."
NFL.com's Mike Mayock: OT Ronnie Stanley – Notre Dame
What he says: "The Chargers get the opportunity to take the best position player in this draft. His pass protection skills are almost as good as Laremy Tunsil's, but right now Stanley is a better run blocker. This helps both Philip Rivers and Melvin Gordon."
NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah: DE DeForest Buckner – Oregon
What he says: "A lot of signs point to Stanley but Buckner is a perfect fit."
NFL.com's Charles Davis: OT Laremy Tunsil – Ole Miss
What he says: "What a decision for the Chargers! The top-rated talent is still on the board for them -- both on offense (Tunsil) and defense (Jalen Ramsey) -- and the best defensive ends are all still available (Joey Bosa and DeForest Buckner). Ultimately, Tunsil is the pick due to trying to win right now with QB Philip Rivers ... but, it's hard to say that they went wrong if they pick any of the previously named players."
NFL.com's Bucky Brooks: DE DeForest Buckner – Oregon
What he says: "They bypass a need at safety to grab a versatile defender with the size, length and athleticism to upgrade the pass rush at the five-technique position."
NFL.com's Charley Casserly: OT Laremy Tunsil – Ole Miss
What he says: "Both starting tackles -- King Dunlap and Joe Barksdale -- are signed. But Tunsil is a future Pro Bowl player."
CBSSports.com's Will Brinson: Projected Trade with Jaguars for 5th Pick for OT Laremy Tunsil – Ole Miss
What he says: "See how easy that is? One of those two teams will give up a pick (fourth-round selection maybe?) to ensure they land Ramsey. And the Chargers shouldn't flinch."
CBSSports.com's Rob Rang: DE DeForest Buckner – Oregon
What he says: "The Chargers allowed 2,005 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground, each among the worst in the NFL last season. At 6-7, 291 pounds, Bucker possesses the length and strength to play virtually anywhere along the defensive line and offers pass rush ability, as well, having tied for the Pac-12 lead with 10.5 sacks in his senior season despite being the focus of every opponents' blocking scheme."
CBSSports.com's Pete Prisco: OT Laremy Tunsil – Ole Miss
What he says: "They could go for corner/safety Jalen Ramsey or Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner. But they need to improve the line and Tunsil is the best of this class."
