School of Rock is excited to announce a new entertainment partnership with the NFL's Los Angeles Chargers for the 2018 season. Beginning Saturday, August 25 and running throughout the Chargers entire regular season home schedule, a different LA area School of Rock house band will perform as part of the pre-game entertainment on the Main Concourse at StubHub Center in Carson, CA. Performances will "kick off" 2 ½ hours before each game's actual kickoff and will feature students from School of Rock's West LA, Venice, Burbank, Pasadena, Fairfax, Woodland Hills, Huntington Beach and Tustin locations.
"We're constantly looking for fun new ways to engage our fans on gameday," said Chargers President of Business Operations A.G. Spanos. "With this unique entertainment partnership, not only are we able to introduce our fans to exciting musical acts, we're able to provide new exposure for these acts and while helping further School of Rock students' musical education."
With over 210 locations worldwide, School of Rock is the world's premier music education program, offering classes for ages 3 and up using the "song first" method to get students excited about playing music. In addition to weekly private lessons, students enrolled in the School of Rock Performance Program rehearse every week to prepare for their seasonal concerts at real rock venues! In the past year alone, School of Rock has performed at some of the most prestigious stages in Los Angeles including The Troubadour, The Whisky A Go Go, and The Roxy.
"At School of Rock, the stage is the ultimate teacher, so we're very grateful to the Chargers for giving our students this awesome opportunity to perform for their amazing fans," says Ryan Schiff, SVP of Operations for School of Rock in the LA area.
