The Bolts are 6-3 as they await the Bengals in Sunday's primetime matchup.
Here are three key Chargers stats ahead of Week 11:
1. A historic defense
Each week, it seems like there's a new stat that highlights how good the Chargers defense has been in 2024.
Here is the latest nugget.
According to data provided by the NFL, the Chargers are only the fourth team in last 40 seasons to allow 20 or fewer points in each of their first nine games of a season.
The other three teams — 2013 Chiefs, 1999 Jaguars and 1990 Giants — all made the playoffs, with the Giants winning the Super Bowl.
The Bolts have a long way to go to accomplish that, but continued kudos to a unit that has allowed a league-best 13.1 points per game this season.
2. Herbert's hot hand
In case you've missed it, Justin Herbert has been on fire the past month.
Since Week 7, Herbert leads all NFL players with a 95.0 overall Pro Football Focus grade.
He's also made 13 big-time throws, according to PFF, which also leads the league in the past four weeks.
Unsurprisingly, Herbert has also tallied zero turnover-worthy plays during that timespan.
That would explain why Herbert, who hasn't thrown an interception since Week 2, has gone 210 straight passes without a pick.
That streak is currently the longest in the NFL and ranks second in Chargers history ... to Herbert himself, which he set over the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

3. Chargers playoff odds
Programming note: we rolled out our first AFC Playoff Picture earlier Tuesday.
We will run this every week until the end of the season to get a glimpse of where the Chargers stand in the race for the playoffs.
Yes, there are still eight games to go, but it's clear that the Bolts have positioned themselves nicely in mid-November.
NFL Next Gen Stats has the Bolts with an 81-percent chance to make the dance, and that's one of the lower odds you'll find.
ESPN is at 87 percent while The Athletic believes the Chargers have a 90-percent chance to be playing past Week 18.
The Bolts are in a good spot, and could be sitting even prettier if they can beat the Bengals in Week 11.
