The After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles is a comprehensive after-school program serving kids with the greatest needs and fewest resources. Founded in 2002 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and part of a national network of 19 chapters in 13 states, the After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles (ASAS-LA) is the premier K-12 program for schools throughout Los Angeles County and the Lucerne Valley. They partner with numerous national and local organizations to provide high-quality free programs to all students. They also partner with the Chargers and California Resources Corporation to host Fútbol Americano 101 junior Chargers training camps for students in underserved neighborhoods.
ASAS-LA helps students identify their individual passions early on in their academic careers and fuel their interests with enriching and complementary after-school programs. By giving kids a safe and healthy environment to explore and play, ASAS-LA increase their likelihood to graduate high school, go on to college, find fulfilling careers, and give back to their communities.
