Snow and Santa Highlight Chargers Regular Season Home Finale Saturday Night

The Los Angeles Chargers will once again play in a featured, standalone national TV game when they host the Baltimore Ravens under the lights at ROKiT Field at StubHub Center Saturday night, Dec. 22. Kickoff is set for 5:20 p.m. PST.

With more than 20 tons of snow being shipped in for the holidays, the Chargers Beer Garden on the Northeast side of the stadium will be transformed into a winter wonderland. Fans will be able to build snowmen or test their snowball tossing skills at the Chargers Snowball Target Practice area. And no Christmas party would be complete without Santa, who will be available to take photos with children from 4-4:45 pm.

To continue the holiday theme, Grammy award-winning recording artist Judith Hill will perform a medley of holiday favorites at halftime. Hill has backed such artists as Stevie Wonder and the late Michael Jackson. Her story was featured in director Morgan Neville's acclaimed 20 Feet From Stardom, a film that shines the spotlight on the untold true story of the backup singers behind some of the greatest musical legends of the 21st century. The film won the Film Critics Award for Best Documentary and an Academy Award for Best Documentary. The film also won the 2015 Grammy for Best Music Film. Hill, who was also featured on the film's soundtrack, was a contestant on season four of "The Voice" and performed this past March at the American Red Cross's Annual Humanitarian Celebration where the Chargers were honored as Humanitarian Organization of the Year. Hill will also sing the National Anthem.

ITEM OF THE GAME

Each week of a Chargers home game, fans receive a 30 percent discount on a select item of the game that matches the team's gameday colors. This week's featured item will be a navy blue Los Angeles Chargers t-shirt. The discount is good online and in-stadium. The 30 percent discount cannot be combined with other discounts.

PREGAME AND HALFTIME FESTIVITIES

To start the pregame festivities, the Chargers will hold an enlistment ceremony for future U.S. Army soldiers from the Los Angeles Area.

Just prior to kickoff, former Chargers great Shawne "Lights Out" Merriman will handle the ceremonial firing of the cannon. Merriman was among the top linebackers in the NFL in his first three seasons with the Chargers, where he was a three-time Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection. Merriman was drafted 12th overall by the Chargers in the 2005 NFL Draft. He earned NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in his first season and recorded 39.5 sacks in his first three seasons. Currently, he can be heard providing commentary on KABC's Chargers Pregame show, ESPN and Fox Sports.

CHARGERS MILITARY HEROES OF THE WEEK

During the first quarter, the Chargers will honor two service members as the Chargers Military Heroes of the Week:

Master Sergeant Rodrigo Roman proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 17 years. Roman enlisted in the Marines directly out of high school in 2001. He served multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. While deployed to Afghanistan in 2008 he served as an Embedded Training Team Advisor to the Afghan National Army. During a firefight in 2009, he received a gunshot wound to the leg that left him badly injured. Rodrigo is the recipient of a Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, and a Combat Action Ribbon.

Staff Sergeant Jason Ross enlisted in the United States Marines Corps in 2001. He served his first deployment to Afghanistan in 2009 where he worked as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal tech in a combat zone. He deployed a second time to Afghanistan in 2010. In 2011, Ross was on a routine patrol when he stepped on an I.E.D that left him severely injured. He lost both of his legs as a result. He was airlifted to Bethesda and woke up in the hospital 10 days later. Ross spent the year in the hospital receiving treatment and physical therapy. He has undergone 245 surgeries to date. In 2014, he was medically retired from the Marines after 13 years.

GAMEDAY REMINDERS

Fans attending Sunday's game are reminded that only the following may be carried into NFL stadiums:
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12." (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags are available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com).
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (no larger than 4.5"x 6.5"), with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bag options.
An exception will be made for medically needed items after proper inspection at gate entrances.
Prohibited items include but are not limited to: Purses larger than a clutch bag, strollers, sports balls, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size. StubHub Center prohibits the wearing of masks or costumes covering the face while passing through stadium security upon entry, on the concourse and at all concession/merchandise locations. Masks or costumes covering the face may be worn, however, within the stadium bowl in the ticketed seating area. Additionally, costume pieces (e.g., shoulder pads or props) that do not conceal identity may be worn but must pass through stadium metal detectors and are subject to further security screening.
Smoking is prohibited at StubHub Center. Refrain from smoking inside or near the stadium.

CHARGERS WARN FANS TO BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT TICKETS

The Chargers and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are warning fans to be mindful of the existence of an increased dispersal of fraudulent tickets. The Chargers stress that the only way to assure ticket authenticity is to purchase tickets directly through the team, Chargers.com, Ticketmaster or the NFL's official resale provider – NFL.com/TicketExchange. Tickets obtained from other sources run the risk of being counterfeit.
