Tarheeb Still's incredible rookie season added another accolade Wednesday as he was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

The Chargers rookie cornerback said Sunday that he "used to daydream" about standout performances like the one he had against Atlanta.

Still recorded two interceptions, the second of which he returned 61 yards for a score that helped the Chargers earn a 17-13 win and improve to 8-4 on the season. The 22-year-old also broke up a key third-down pass on Atlanta's final drive before Derwin James, Jr. ended the game with an interception of his own.

Still is the first Chargers rookie to win the award since 2007, with the honor marking the first Defensive Player of the Week recognition of his career.

And another award could be on the way soon as he's also up for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week, which you can vote for here.

Not bad for a fifth-round pick.

Still, the 137th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, is just the second Day 3 draft pick to record multiple interceptions and a pick six in the same game as a rookie in over 15 seasons.

Sunday's performance punctuated what has been a stellar rookie season for Still.

Entering Week 14, Still ranks second in Pro Football Focus defensive grade (82.9) among all cornerbacks with at least 500 snaps.

He's also tied for fourth among cornerbacks with three total interceptions, third among all corners in PFF coverage grade (83.7) and is seventh in passer rating against (66.2) among cornerbacks with at least 500 snaps.

Still is among the key reasons why the Chargers lead the NFL in scoring defense by allowing just 15.7 points per game.

Still is the first Bolts player to win a Player of the Week award in the Jim Harbaugh Era.
