For the third time this season, Derwin James is nominated for the **Pepsi Rookie of the Week**.
In a **Pro Bowl-worthy performance**, James made his presence felt in the Chargers' Week 13 33-30 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He finished the game recording three total tackles, three passes defensed and one interception.
His key red zone interception of Ben Roethlisberger was his third pick of the season. With that, he became the first player to have at least three picks and three sacks in a single season since 2016 (Pittsburgh LB Ryan Shazier and Giants S Landon Collins). James is also the first rookie to do so since LB Zach Brown in 2012 with Tennessee.
The safety faces competition in Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay, 49ers WR Dante Pettis, Giants RB Saquon Barkley and Bills QB Josh Allen.
Voting is open through Friday at 12:00 p.m. PT and the winner will be announced later that day on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.
