Due to authoring the 27th fourth quarter comeback performance of his career, Philip Rivers is nominated for the **FedEx Air Player of the Week**.
In the 29-28 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Rivers was 26-of-38 for 313 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
With his 313 yards, Rivers posted his 62nd career 300-yard performance, tying Hall of Fame QB Brett Favre for the fifth-most in NFL history. Rivers' threw multiple touchdown passes for the 13th time this season, tying for the most by a player through the first 14 games of a season in league annals. Additionally, his first touchdown pass of the game extended his league-leading streak to 27-straight games with a touchdown pass. It also gave Rivers 30 touchdown passes in a season for the sixth time, tying Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers for the fifth-most in NFL history.
This marks the third time Rivers has been nominated for this honor this season, recently winning due to his Week 13 win over the Steelers. He faces stiff competition in Houston QB Deshaun Watson and 49ers QB Nick Mullens.
