On Philip Rivers…

"I f----- love Philip Rivers ... I love what he brings to the game. I love that he's a competitor. He loves to compete and he's going to go out there and he's going to make you pull your best out because he's going to come at you. I love playing against him." – CB Marcus Peters

"I love playing against Philip. He's a character on the field. Off the field, I've spent some time with him (at) Pro Bowls and whatnot. Obviously, a great competitor and really just one of those guys that you enjoy playing against. He's fiery, he tries to make a bunch of plays on you, so we'll have fun." – DT Ndamukong Suh

"We know what a quality player he is (who) can truly take over a game. The understanding and the mastery of the offense and understanding defensive structures and being able to get in the premier plays is one of the traits and characteristics that makes him great, in addition to being able to move and buy time within the framework of the pocket (and) change his arm angle. He throws the deep ball with the anticipation and trajectory as well as anybody over the last handful of years. He's a great football player." – Head Coach Sean McVay

"The majority of my childhood, he was playing. Fantastic player, Hall of Fame player and a guy that I've definitely watched and tried to steal things from for sure. The way he plays the game and the way he works. I've heard nothing but great things from people who've played with him." – QB Jared Goff

"Philip Rivers is (an) elite quarterback. When I was at San Diego, we drafted Philip. He's been a winner ever since he's been there, I can't say enough good things about him. He's a tremendous quarterback (and) person. You can't fool him. He's going to know what you're in and that's where he excels over most quarterbacks … He basically throws to the weakness of the defense almost every play. He's been doing that for a long time and he continues to do that. He still looks great." – Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips

On Chargers' wideouts…

"I think Keenan Allen is one of the best players in this league that people don't talk enough about and then you look at guys like (Tyrell) Williams and you look at guys like (Travis) Benjamin that can stretch the field vertically. It's good to get Mike Williams for them healthy, where he's able to make some plays, (after) not being healthy as a rookie." – Head Coach Sean McVay

On Chargers defense…

"(Defensive Coordinator Gus) Bradley does a great job – and (Defensive Line Coach) Giff Smith – (with) really mixing it up, especially situationally when they get you in those known passing situations. They've got a variety of different pressure packages that they can present … you're talking about a really tough defense. Very sound, do an excellent job of understanding. You can see a clear-cut identity when you watch that tape. Guys play hard, they tackle well, they make you earn every single yard and I think that's one of the things that's kind of a staple of a really good defense and that's exactly what this is that we're going against this week." – Head Coach Sean McVay

"They're a great defense. I think you see with (Defensive Coordinator) Gus (Bradley) and everyone over there – they're very well coached. In the secondary, they're very good. They have the rookie, Derwin James, who's a great player as well that they've added. Casey Hayward, you've got to be aware of. All of them, they're all really good. Obviously, up front the first guy you see is (Melvin) Ingram and all the stuff he's done over the last few years. This week Joey (Bosa)'s not playing, but that doesn't take away from all the other guys we've got to prepare for up front. They're a good team and going to be a challenge for us for sure." – QB Jared Goff

On Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler…

"Those two running backs (Gordon and Austin Ekeler) they have – both of them I think together have over 200 yards a game total. So they're a big part of the offense too, not just the passing game but the running game also. We've got a big challenge. This is obviously the best offensive team we've played against and we're looking forward to the challenge." – Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips

"(Gordon is) a little wise beyond his years, but a great talent on the football field. A guy that I respect and look forward to playing against." – DT Ndamukong Suh

On the entire team…

"This is a really good football team we're playing. When you look at the Chargers in all three phases, they present a variety of challenges. They've got great players, they're very well coached. So I don't think we need to look any further for motivation that we've got to be at our best if we're going to compete with these guys." – Head Coach Sean McVay

On Head Coach Anthony Lynn…

"Anthony Lynn, I picked up as a free agent from McKinney, Texas, and he's done tremendously well. I'm proud of him. I've told him before I'm proud of him and for him. What he's done not only in football but what kind of person he is and how he's done a tremendous job as the head coach. I really think a lot of him." – Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips

"I've got a lot of respect for him. He's an excellent coach, great teacher, great motivator…He's done an excellent job. I think what says as much about his leadership as anything is being able to demonstrate that when things didn't start out great last year, the ability to keep it together and then the fight back and finish the way that they (did). They've played really, really good football this year and really the way they finished up, and I think that's a credit to his leadership, the team's mental toughness and that's why we know this is an excellent football team that provides a great challenge for us on Sunday." – Head Coach Sean McVay
