A familiar face is gracing the sidelines at Chargers Camp today as LaDainian Tomlinson is on the scene to report for NFL Network.
While here, he offered his thoughts on the 2016 Bolts, ranging from his expectations for Keenan Allen to what a fullback will do for Melvin Gordon III:
"The first thing I think of coming here is that Ken Whisenhunt is back. I want to see him bring that balance back to the offense between run and pass. I think it makes the team that much better as a whole. I'm also excited about the growth of this defense. There are a lot of young guys on that side of the ball, but they are very talented. I am eager to see how that shakes out.
I also want to see Melvin Gordon III progresses from year one to year two. I had Lorenzo Neal and now he has Derek Watt. The fullback is the head guy. He's the eyes and (ears) for the running back. Whenever you have a real good one, he makes things so much easier for a running back. He intimidates linebackers. It's always good to have a lead blocker. I've always felt that way.
And then with Keenan Allen, I think he is a stud. The guy has progressed every single year. He is really ready to take that next step to be a top three or four receiver in the NFL. He is super talented and does all the right things. He works hard, studies the game and sets a great example for the young guys."
