Chargers radio analyst Daniel Jeremiah, The Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner Jr. and DIRECTV Fantasy Zone's James Koh are guests on the Week 14 edition of Chargers Weekly, the official podcast of the team.
Dehner Jr. provided this week's opposing view and named two Bengals players to have eyes on this Sunday. Highlights from the conversation (15:10 mark) are below.
Two players to watch, according to Dehner Jr.
"(Safety) Jessie Bates III has been a really nice surprise as a rookie safety. A second-round pick, he's had some interceptions, he's made some nice plays. … He seems to have a real nose for the football.
… On the offensive side of the ball, I mentioned (wide receiver) Tyler Boyd earlier. Tyler Boyd has just really been a special player and shown kind of a willingness to throw the team on his back without anybody else out there helping him essentially, and (he's) gotten a lot better at dealing with all the attention that he gets. When A.J. Green first went out, I think he was a little 'eyes wide open' at all the defenders he had to power through, but now as he's kind of gotten used to that thing, he's had a little bit more success with it and it's a matter of (quarterback) Jeff Driskel finding him."
Boyd has 69 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns this season.
