The Moten Family's 1-year old daughter Faith suddenly began choking on food. 9-1-1 was called and within minutes LA County Sheriff's deputies Melvin Castro and Omar Sanchez came to the scene. They decided to transport the child to the hospital themselves as Castro performed CPR, saving her life.

An elderly couple crashed their van through a guard rail and into the Long Beach marina. Jefrey Perez, Mike Delgrande and Jaime Garcia dove into the water and pulled the couple and their dog out of the sinking van, saving all three lives.

Benji and Morgan Law saved their mother's life after she slipped and fell into their pool and was unable to swim. Morgan jumped into the pool and pulled his mother out of the deep end. Benji kept his mother's head above water. They called 9-1-1, and saved their mother's life.

The Cal Fire Rescue Team of Riverside received an urgent call to save a hiker who fell several hundred feet in the San Jacinto mountain range and was dangling from his climbing rope. They were awarded Medals of Valor for their heroic work in saving the hiker's life.

Deputy George Scott and his bloodhound Copper were called in to rescue an elderly hiker that was lost in the San Bernardino National Forest. Copper was able to locate the man within several hours using his sense of smell. The hiker made a full recovery due to the quick actions of Deputy Scott and Copper.

Sebastian Picardi pulled a 63-year old woman out of a burning vehicle after it crashed into a barrier on San Dimas Canyon Road, saving her life.

During the Woolsey Wildfire, Jess Phoenix recused numerous animals that were lost or left behind after residents were forced to evacuate. She was able to take her truck and horse trailer into the fires 4 times, saving a horse each time.

Deputies Michael Rogers and Tom Henzgen saved a 95-year old Agoura Hills woman named Ruth Cook and her dog from the Woosley Fire minutes before her house burned down.
