Chris Hobbs enters his 19th season with the Chargers and his eighth season scouting the West.
From 2013-15, Hobbs was the team's combine area scout, representing the Chargers at the National Scouting Combine.
A former executive assistant-player personnel, he scouted NFL practice squad players, NFL special teams, prospects from the AFL and CFL. Hobbs helped coordinate free agent and top-30 pickups as well as setting up the War Room for the NFL Draft. He also entered pro day information into the team's system for APT, assisted the video department during games taking still photos, and he is a group leader at the NFL combine for DL.
Hobbs spent his first two years with the Chargers full time in the business department (2005-2007) and spent 2002-03 interning for football operations under Ed McGuire during the season and interned for equipment during training camps.
Born in Hollywood, Calif., he attended North Hollywood High and graduated from University of the Pacific with a degree in sports management and a minor in business.
Hobbs married the former Angeline Geronimo in June 2015, and the couple has two sons, Theodore Lucas and Carter Geronimo.
