Michael Spanos II joined the Chargers in July 2016 as a salary cap and personnel assistant.
Spanos completed an internship with the Chargers in the summer of 2012 before spending the last three years (2013-15) working at the National Football League Office in New York. Spanos worked in a variety of capacities at the League office, including Management Council Labor Operations, Entertainment Marketing, the NFL Legends Community, Community Relations, Public Relations and Social Responsibility, and Digital Media Business Development.
A native of Stockton, Calif., Spanos attended Lincoln High School where he lettered in football and was named the San Joaquin Athletic Association's Most Valuable Player as a senior. Spanos then attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif., where he played running back for the Cardinal football team. He graduated with a degree in Science Technology and Society in 2013.
Spanos is the son of Chargers Vice Chairman Michael Spanos and his wife, Helen.
