Mike Jasinski begins his sixth season with the Chargers and his second as an area scout covering the Plains. He was the team's combine area scout from 2018-19 and scouted the Northeast for the next two years (2020-21) after spending the previous six seasons at the collegiate level.
After three seasons as the director of scouting at Northwestern University, Jasinski most recently held the title of director of football recruiting at Purdue University. Jasinski got his first experience at the NFL level when he was a summer intern with the Chicago Bears scouting department while at Northwestern.
Before getting into personnel, Jasinski spent time on the sidelines coaching. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Saint Patrick High School before taking the wide receiver coaching position at Illinois Wesleyan University. He also coached the running backs, wide receivers and tight ends at Elmhurst College before heading to Northwestern.
Jasinski played wide receiver at Butler University where he earned his degree in political science. He holds two master's degrees — one in sports psychology from Illinois State and another in sports administration from Northwestern.
