Chargers-Steelers Inactives for Week 3: Justin Herbert Will Play Against Pittsburgh

The Chargers have announced their inactive players for Week 3.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is active even though he is dealing with a high ankle sprain.

Herbert didn't practice Wednesday and Friday and was limited on Thursday. He was injured midway through the third quarter in Week 2 against Carolina.

While Herbert will play, wide receiver Joshua Palmer is inactive. He is dealing with both knee and elbow injuries. Rookie Brenden Rice is active for the first time this season.

Linebacker Junior Colson also will not play after being ruled out Friday with a hamstring injury. Offensive lineman Jordan McFadden is also inactive.

The Chargers three four rookies — Kimani Vidal, Tarheeb Still and Justin Eboigbe — who are inactive for the second straight week.
