WEEK 6 — PODIUM AVAILABILITY
Friday, October 11, 2019 | Hoag Performance Center | Costa Mesa, Calif.
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS HEAD COACH ANTHONY LYNN
On TE Hunter Henry:
"We kept him limited the whole week. We didn't want to put too much on his plate. I thought he looked fine.
"He was full today, but we still limited his reps.
"We'll come out tomorrow and have a little jog-through. We'll see how he feels. If he feels good, I'll put him out there for a few plays.
On DE Melvin Ingram III:
"Melvin did a little bit on the side. Melvin has gotten better every single day. He's definitely questionable.
"He's a veteran player. He knows how to take care of himself. If he tells me that he can go, I trust him. He knows that we can't re-injure this deal because it could be longer. It'll be a game-time decision."
On Henry:
"Mainly just being out for four or five weeks and just not playing football. We wouldn't put him back out there if he wasn't well. It's just him getting back and just playing football."
On the running back duties:
"You'll see [RB] Melvin's [Gordon III] rep count go up. Last week, I think [RB] Austin's [Ekeler] rep count was much higher than Melvin's. You'll see Melvin's rep count go up a little bit this week.
"Absolutely, we have a package where we put both of those guys on the field. It's a pretty good package."
On C Mike Pouncey:
"I spoke with him this morning. He's in good spirits. He's doing well. He sent the team a video message. That was kind of cool."
On the players participating in My Cause, My Cleats:
"I think it's a really good cause, so yes I encourage it. I like for them to do that in the offseason. Get your cleats painted or however you want to do it in the offseason. I don't want to be worried about it on game week."
