WEEK 2 — PODIUM AVAILABILITY
Friday, September 13, 2019 | Hoag Performance Center | Costa Mesa, Calif.
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS HEAD COACH ANTHONY LYNN
On WR Mike Williams:
"He's better today, but he is still game time decision — but he was better.
"I just need to see that he can go out and play and not hurt himself. He has a couple more days, it'll be day by day."
On K Michael Badgley:
"Same with him. The last thing I want is for our kicker to have an injury that is lingering throughout the season. I want to get him healthy before I put him back out there."
On if Williams will be on the snap count if he plays:
"Yeah, I think that would be smart to do but you never know. You get into a game and a guy feels good, you just let them go and play football — but if he's ready, he'll be out there."
On WR/PR Travis Benjamin:
"Yeah, Travis will definitely step up. Absolutely."
On bringing up a wide receiver:
"We've talked about it. We could but we will wait and see what the depth is like."
On WR Geremy Davis:
"We were just doing some extra work with him. He's in the same boat, he's kind of day-by-day as well. He has a critical role on special teams and as a backup receiver."
On having two injured receivers:
"It does [make it difficult] because you don't want two receivers going in this on one leg. You want those guys healthy. Like I said, they've gotten better every single day so we will see what happens."
On LB Denzel Perryman:
"The knee is fine. He's fine. He's absolutely fine."
