Chargers Near Top 10 in Latest NFL Power Rankings

Power Ranking W17

The Chargers are now 9-6 with two games left following last Thursday's win.

The Bolts will now travel to the East Coast to take on the Patriots on Saturday, as a win would clinch them a spot in the playoffs.

NFL analysts and publications have released their weekly power rankings. Take a look at where the Bolts are ranked as they enter Week 17.

No. 10: Mike Florio – Pro Football Talk (Last Week: No. 15)

No. 11: NFL Nation, Kris Rhim – ESPN (Last Week: No. 12)

Rookie of the year: Wide receiver Ladd McConkey

Right tackle Joe Alt and cornerback Tarheeb Still have strong cases, but McConkey has been the Chargers' most important offensive player not named Justin Herbert. McConkey and Herbert have already become one of the league's best quarterback-receiver pairings. Out of 34 QB-receiver combos with at least 75 targets this season, the two rank in the top five of QBR, completion percentage and yards per attempt. McConkey leads the Chargers in receptions (69), targets (94) and yards (960).

No. 11: BR NFL Staff – Bleacher Report (Last Week: No. 13)

Watching two of the NFL's stingiest defenses allow 55 points was a little odd, but this was an impressive gut-check win the Chargers ... the Bolts are not a team folks want to have to face in the Wild Card round.

No. 11: Frank Schwab – Yahoo Sports (Last Week: No. 13)

The Chargers practically got their playoff spot by coming back to beat the Broncos last week. They can clinch a berth with a win against New England on Saturday. Whenever it happens, it will be a heck of an accomplishment in Jim Harbaugh's first season back in the NFL.

No. 12: Vinnie Iyer – Sporting News (Last Week: No. 13)

The Chargers got some of their clutch mojo back with their Justin Herbert-led comeback against the Broncos. They are dangerous in the playoffs because of Jim Harbaugh.

No. 12: Conor Orr – Sports Illustrated (Last Week: No. 14)

No. 12: Pete Prisco – CBS Sports (Last Week: No. 13)

The Chargers bounced back from the blowout loss to the Bucs with a nice division victory over the Broncos. One more victory and they are in the playoffs.

No. 12: Josh Kendall – The Athletic (Last Week: No. 15)

No. 12: Diante Lee – The Ringer (Last Week: No. 15)

The Chargers put the ball in the hands of quarterback Justin Herbert and let him lead the way to a 21-point second half and a comeback victory. Herbert passed for 144 yards and two touchdowns after halftime on Thursday, and this team continues to change my preconceptions about it in tough environments.

No. 12: Nate Davis – USA Today (Last Week: No. 16)

It took a 48-year stretch, but the Bolts have now converted the NFL's last two successful fair catch kicks.
