5T W7

Consider this your one-stop shop on Mondays for all things Chargers.

Here are five things to know about the Bolts ahead of Week 7:

1. What happened in Week 6?

The Chargers earned a 23-16 win over the Broncos to notch their first road win in Denver since 2018.

Rashawn Slater called it a "huge" win for the Bolts, who had lost 10 of the past 11 overall games at Mile High before Sunday's victory.

The Chargers were dominant in the opening 30 minutes as they raced out to a 20-0 halftime lead against the Broncos.

Worth noting: Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh briefly left the sideline in the first quarter due to irregular heartbeat but later returned to coach the rest of the game.

2. What is the Chargers record?

The Chargers, who were coming off their bye week, now sit at 3-2 on the season.

The Bolts are one of two 3-2 teams in the AFC along with the Bills, who play on Monday Night Football against the Jets.

As of Monday morning, the Chargers sit in second place in the AFC West behind Kansas City, which is 5-0 and had a bye in Week 6.

The Bolts are also ahead of the Broncos (3-3) and Raiders (2-4) and have already beaten both teams this season.

3. Who stood out on Sunday?

Stop us if you've heard this before, but Khalil Mack had another great game on Sunday.

Mack posted an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 90.5, which was a team best and Mack's highest mark of the season.

Even better? Mack posted a run defense grade of an astounding 94.8, which was second-best among all edge rushers in Week 6.

Mack finished the game with two tackles, a forced fumble, a pass defensed and a quarterback hit.

Offensively, running back Hassan Haskins posted a 92.3 grade on just three snaps as both of his carries moved the chains on third-and-1.

In terms of more volume, Slater played 72 offensive snaps and posted an overall offensive grade of 82.0.

It was his second-best grade of the season and it came after Slater missed Week 4 with a pectoral injury.

4. What's an eye-popping stat?

The Chargers have repeatedly said they want to run the ball and wear down opposing defenses.

That was as evident as ever on a 20-play drive in Week 6 that spanned 10 minutes and 29 seconds. For context, the Broncos ran 20 total plays in the first half Sunday.

The drive started with 1:50 left in the first quarter and ended with 6:21 left in the second quarter after Cameron Dicker's 33-yard field goal gave the Bolts a 13-0 lead.

All in all, the Chargers held the ball for 37:23 against Denver, the Bolts highest time of possession of the season.

Entering Monday night, the Chargers rank seventh in average time of possession (excluding overtime) across the NFL at 31:47.

5. What does Week 7 look like for the Bolts?

The Bolts are back on the road for a primetime matchup in Arizona on Monday Night Football.

The Chargers will face their second back-to-back road trip of the season and have four overall.

This will be the Chargers first primetime game of the 2024 season under Harbaugh.

Arizona currently sits at 2-4 after a Week 6 road loss to Green Bay.
