Where Did Justin Herbert Land in This Year's NFL Top 100 List?

Herbert top 100

As Justin Herbert enters Year 5, his peers are well aware of the kind of player Herbert is.

"Justin Herbert's a great quarterback. He could bring a team down 20, up five in three minutes," Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely said. "Obviously, he needs no introduction."

For the fourth straight year, Herbert was voted into the NFL's Top 100 list, landing at No. 75 this time around.

The quarterback battled multiple injuries in 2023, including a fractured right finger that ended his season after just 13 games.

Still, he finished throwing for 3,134 yards and 20 touchdowns and continued to be a dangerous force under center that opposing defenses had to prepare for week-in and week-out.

"It's tough playing against him," Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton said. "Also, his mobility, throwing on the run, it's pretty special."

Hamilton later added: "Huge arm, big guy. Played against him for the first time this year, I didn't know he was that tall."

And of course when talking about Herbert, you've got to mention the arm talent that he puts on display every Sunday.

Whether it be deep down the field or a rocket between two defenders, rival defenses continue to be aware of what he can do throwing the ball.

"You could tell he could get the ball out," Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham said. "In this league, of course you go off the talent of your arm strength and your confidence you built in practice. It's really impressive."

Hamilton, who got to see Herbert up close for the first time last season, talked about the thought process when playing against a quarterback like the Bolts franchise player — the defense can never feel too comfortable.

"I think he's one of those guys who's arm talent, you can't teach and it's accurate at the same time," Hamilton said. "Playing against him, when you're down the field you kind of have it in the back of your like with some quarterbacks, 'He can't make that throw'.

"But you can't let up playing against Herbert cause you can be 80 yards down the field, and he can still put it right in the pit," Hamilton added.
