This week the Los Angeles Charges honor Sergeant John Paul Peña who proudly served our country for eight years in the United States Marine Corps. During that time Sergeant Peña deployed to Kuwait and Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded a Combat Action Ribbon and an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
Today Sergeant Peña is a successful real estate broker who has helped many veterans achieve homeownership by utilizing their VA benefits. He also hosts a podcast along with 3 other Marines called Veterans Battalion. Their mission is to help other veterans achieve success. He continues to advocate for better opportunities for veterans and active military.
The Los Angeles Chargers and California Resources Corporation thank Sergeant Peña for his commitment and service to our great nation.
The Military Hero of the Week presented by **California Resources Corporation** was created to acknowledge the heroic efforts and sacrifices made by our U.S. service members, veterans and their families. Each week of the Regular Season the Los Angeles Chargers will honor a Military Hero. The honored service member will receive four tickets to a Chargers home game where he or she will be recognized on-field.
